One of my favorite movies is CAST AWAY, starring Tom Hanks. In the film, Hanks plays the role of a FedEx executive. After his jet crashes into the ocean, his character ends up on an island as the sole survivor.
However, this movie is a modernized version of the book Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. He too ended up on an island as the only survivor after his ship encountered a violent storm. He ended up calling it home for 27 years.
On the island he drew up a list that he categorized as BAD and GOOD. For example under ‘bad’ he wrote, “I am cast upon a horrible, desolate island, void of all hope of recovery.” Then under ‘good’ he wrote, “But I am alive; and not drowned…”
The reason I share this story with you is because I think we can all learn something from Crusoe’s example. In the previous blog I noted that Covid is severely testing our country right now. Many South Africans have lost loved ones, jobs, businesses etc.
However, while it is easy to despair and lose hope during this season of uncertainty and chaos, I believe that there are many things that we can still be thankful for. Why don’t you take some time today to draw up your own list? You may be surprised to learn, like Crusoe, that you have many blessings hiding in plain sight.

By default, the folders and files in OneDrive remain private until a user shares them with others. You can sync the files and folders stored in Windows and Mac OS X with OneDrive, as well as collaborate on Microsoft Teams. Check out this YouTube video below for a concise overview.
